Apologies: Sue Wilshire, Chris Dibble, Katrina Couper, Paul Williams, Dawn Gibbens.
Funeral: Phil Green (Allensbank) reported on the sad passing of Frank, who had served so long as a respected Site Secretary when he was younger. Phil gave details of Frank’s funeral.
GDPR: We are not too concerned about the Parks Dept. new GDPR system, but we are not going along with the “training”.
RHS Show: Sue Wilshire has had to stand down, having successfully led us in our first two shows. She is keen to continue offering what advice she can. We need someone to step up and chair future meetings. This year’s show made £400 for CAHA. We now invite people to serve on CAHA’s RHS Show Committee. This will probably involve a meeting in the Autumn, and others in Jan and March, as well as lots of enthusiasm and sensible ideas. If anyone fits the bill, please ask them to contact Judith Hill: email@example.com
Newsletter: Karen (Rhydypenau), has offered to design a CAHA newsletter, as long as sites contribute material.
Membership: It was agreed not to levy subs from sites.
Venue: It was agreed to continue meeting at Christchurch.
Relationship with the Council: Celia had a database listing all the queries that sites had put forward, based on Gareth’s list 2½ years ago. We need to have an up-dated list, which we can add to from time to time, so that we can monitor the progress made on complaints/queries. Site Secs should therefore advise CAHA when they send a query or raise an issue with Celia, and also let us know when the problem is sorted. We also need to know how the budget cuts affect us.
AOB: We need a venue for a skittles night.
The Purchasing Consortium will meet soon.
Have Secretarys’ expenses been paid yet?
Future CAHA meetings: Jan 16, April 10, July 10, Oct9 (also the date of next year’s AGM).
